Girrrlll, what have you done to "Getcho' Life" today? By "getcho' life" I mean what have you done to work towards your personal goals? So often we get overwhelmed by the "big picture" that we fail to even take the first step. ![]() Do you keep telling yourself that you're going to write that book? Start out by giving yourself a daily writing goal. Whether it's a paragraph a day or a page, just start somewhere. The more you write, the easier it will become! Ready to go back to school? Start researching schools today! Narrow down your choices and/or major. Start looking for scholarships and grants. Apply for that financial aide, set that appointment up with an academic adviser. Telling yourself that you are going to go hard in the gym this year? (because we all know "hot girl" summer bodies are made in the winter okkkuurrt) You're already paying for that gym pass anyway. Might as well use it! Start with a few hours a week. Try a class. Just do something! There is an old saying that goes "never put off until tomorrow what you can do today", and if the unfortunate passing of Kobe Bryant, his daughter and others has taught us anything it's that tomorrow isn't promised; however, you can work each and every day towards your dream. Each morning that God wakes you up is a new opportunity to pursue your purpose! Kobe was one of those people that used each day, each moment, each second to pursue his. His work ethic was part of what made his image larger than basketball. He chose to work every day to do what he loved to the best of his ability. You and I should do the same. So let's all make a choice, not tomorrow, but tuh-day, to get our lives! Remember, "Rome wasn't built in a day", and the same goes for your dreams. It's going to take time, but each day is another chance to keep building!
